This is the home page for Chemung County Soil & Water Conservation District. In the bottom right hand corner, there are links to a Stream Guide and a Stream Power Point that they had developed. The tools review the basics about streams and how your work in stream can be beneficial or negative.

NYC DEP, Catskill Streams is currently focused on areas within NYC DEP Catskill/Delaware watershed areas. Provides general tutorial information about the basics of stream functions and processes and suggestions about properly stewarding streams and adjacent properties. The site provides instructions on planting streamside buffers, including native plant lists and regional suppliers of these plants. Additionally the site includes regional information and a frequently updated calendar of events related to natural resource management.

DEC Benthic Mapper displays data about the Hudson River’s sedimentary floor in its geographic context. Benthic Mapper’s data and maps are valuable for understanding, managing and restoring estuary habitats, for responding to environmental incidents, and for understanding sediment and contaminant transport.
